The ESL Intel Extreme Masters Global Challenge gamescom launched yesterday in Cologne, Germany featuring StarCraft II and Quake Live. Gamescon officially kicks off today and will continue on until the 22nd of August with a huge prize purse of $25,000. Sixteen teams from both divisions will be participating in the event, divided into groups of four. The prize purse for StarCraft II is $15,000 while Quake Live is $10,000.
